I recently discovered black rice. I find it wonderful. Very interesting and the fact that in fact when it is boiled it changes color and becomes dark purple.
This is due to the fact that it is rich in anthocyanins, natural antioxidants that are usually found in the composition of black berries such as blueberries, blackcurrants or blackberries.
It has a special taste.
In ancient China, it was forbidden for ordinary people to consume black rice, being consumed only by nobles.

The rice is boiled with the two cups of water. I read that hydration in water before cooking is also recommended. Boil on low heat for 20-30 minutes.
After it boiled, I put it in a sieve and washed it with warm water. It doesn't get sticky. Then I put it in the bowl, I added the raw chopped vegetables, the oil and the spices, I mixed them well and then it is ready to serve.
It's delicious and very filling.

Sandwich wraps with tuna salad

I missed it, I really missed the wraps, the tortilla wraps, any kind of wraps. Since I made the burritos recipe, I haven't eaten sandwiches rolled in tortilla wraps. For those who still don't know, find tortilla wraps at Mega Image stores if you are from Bucharest and at Kaufland, Plus or Carrefour in the rest of the country. This time I filled them with a tuna salad, very easy to make and very delicious.

By the way, this salad can be served as an appetizer, alone, with nachos, for example. You can also cut this rolled sandwich into thinner slices and serve them for the holidays, in the appetizers / buffet section. They are a much easier alternative to classic culinary recipes for the holidays.

First and foremost I chopped the finely chopped pickles, as well as the onions. Then I drained the oil and mixed everything: the tuna, onion, cucumber, mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Now it's time to add finely chopped dill and crushed or grated garlic, if you choose to use them.

Heat each wrap in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, or in a pan, without adding fat. Only a warm tortilla will run perfectly, without breaking. After taking it out of the oven, we assemble our rolled sandwich: we put a few lettuce leaves first & # 8230

And at the end, roll the sandwich and serve it immediately. 4 servings come out of this recipe, but a tortilla is quite big, it can be divided between two young ladies who don't eat much anyway. You're welcome!

Tuna salad with rice, tasty and fast & # 8211 Here's how

This tuna salad is very popular in Poland, you can see it even in the scenes of some series. It is very tasty, it cooks quite quickly and is to everyone's liking.

With the preparation of ingredients that you always have at hand and you don't need to stay in the fridge for many hours. We urge you to prepare it too, we are sure that it will become your favorite.


  • 150 g boiled rice, 150 g cheese
  • 2 canned tuna in oil
  • 250 g mayonnaise, 50 g green onions
  • 3 boiled eggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • a little black pepper, freshly ground
  • a few slices of pickled cucumber

How is it prepared?

Finely chop the green onion tails. Grate boiled eggs and cheese. In a bowl, assemble the salad: put the boiled rice in the first layer, spread it with mayonnaise and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Then add the tuna pieces and grease with mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper.

Next, chopped green onions, grated cheese, grease with mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper. At the end, put boiled eggs grated, decorated with green onions and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  • 1 small cube of yeast, 1 egg
  • 250 g lard, 125 ml mineral water
  • flour content (approx. 500 g)
  • grated lemon peel
  • powdered sugar, 1 pinch of salt

How is it prepared?

Sift the flour into a bowl, add the egg, lard mixed with mineral water and yeast, salt and lemon peel and knead a little, not too much. Leave the dough to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

After it has risen, spread very thin sheets, cut them and fill them with jam. Place in the preheated oven until lightly browned. When they are ready, give them powdered sugar. Good appetite!

Strawberry sorbet

A refreshing dessert, full of the freshness and sweetness of seasonal fruits, according to the warm summer evenings: Strawberry sorbet, proposed by

750 gr strawberries, washed and cleaned of tails
150 gr sugar
75 ml water
Salt powder
juice from a lemon

Mix water, salt and sugar and simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool.
We put the fruits and lemon juice in a blender, or we pass them, then we add the prepared syrup.
Pass through a sieve, so the sorbet will be finer, and put the resulting mixture in a large bowl in the freezer. Stir every 30 minutes to prevent the formation of ice crystals.
Serve after standing in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

Baked cauliflower with rice noodles and salad (fasting)

When she is on TV Paprika, I suspend whatever I have at work, the children give up cartoons, we all & # 8220savuram & # 8221 her recipes! Therefore, for our lunch today, our inspiration was our wonderful Mary Berry.


Cauliflower- 1 (mica)
Rice noodles - 1 serving
Salad - 3-4 leaves
Red cherry trimix- 9-10
Oil - 3 tablespoons (preferably olive)
Mustard with berries - 1 tbsp
Lemon- 1/2
Honey- 1 tbsp
Baked garlic - 2 cloves (optional)

Method of preparation:

1-Put the rice noodles in a large bowl and cover with boiled water, leave for 10 minutes, then drain.
2-The cauliflower is unwrapped in the bouquets, washed and put in a bag (of those used for the freezer), together with 2 tablespoons of oil. Close the bag and shake it so that the oil covers all the bunches of cauliflower.
3-In a tray sprinkle salt (about 1/2 tablespoon), put cauliflower and put the tray in the hot oven on the middle level. Cauliflower turns from time to time to brown nicely on all sides. It's ready pretty quickly, in about 15 minutes.
4-Prepare the sauce: mix until smooth 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon mustard with berries, 1 tablespoon olive oil, juice of 1/2 lemon and chopped baked garlic.
5-Mount the plate: lettuce, rice noodles, cauliflower, halves of cherry tomatoes. Serve with the prepared sauce.

Rice salad

I highly recommend this rice salad, is also excellent as an appetizer, but also if you are on a diet.
For the recipe rice salad I was inspired by the book Cooking with a commonsense guide.
It is prepared quickly, has a very low degree of difficulty and is very delicious. Highly appreciated by all who tasted it.


The cookbook

Put the eggs in a saucepan, add enough water to cover them well, add a pinch of salt and boil them. Let them boil for 10 minutes from the moment the water starts to boil.

After the eggs have boiled, drain the water and start peeling them and leave them to cool:

We start to add oil, little by little, mixing continuously, only in one direction (so as not to cut the mayonnaise), until the mayonnaise starts to form. Add oil until you get the desired amount of mayonnaise.

Put the cheese in a large bowl, then add eggs, mayonnaise, a tablespoon of sour cream and season with pepper and salt to taste.
